Arved Fuchs, a German expedition leader and polar explorer, is planning for the next International Youth Camp to be held in Húsavík from 10th - 21st of August 2008.

International Whale Watching Conference in Iceland
An international whale watching conference, organised by Iceland's Whale Watching Association "Icewhale" and the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) was held in Selfoss, South-western Iceland from the 12th - 14th of March 2008.

Humpback whale from Skjálfandi Bay photographed off Africa
It is still quite early in the season but the museum’s researchers have already been out on the whale watching boats several times to collect data and take pictures of whales that have been sighted during the trips.
