Great Start of the Season

The 2006 season is getting off to a great start!  A large number of visitors arriving at Húsavík in May and June have kept the Museum quite busy, forecasting a very successful year. The Bay has also had its share of visitors, with record numbers of Humpback whales arriving early this summer. As many as 8 individuals could be spotted on a single trip. In addition to a first-ever sperm whale sighting in the Bay, the trips included minke whales, white-beaked dolphins, and harbour porpoises on regular basis.
