Un Unexpected Visitor

Quite unexpectedly, we received a special guest in the Museum: The President of Iceland, Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson, decided to visit us before the formal opening of Húsavíks annual Summer Festival. He had visited the Museum at its previous location during the 50th anniversary of Húsavík, but did not have the chance to be back again after its expansion in 2002. He was stunned about the way the Museum had evolved and considers it to be one of the most interesting Museums in Iceland.
