Guardians of Nature

On Saturday, the French camera team of "Guardians of Nature" visited Húsavík, creating a documentary that presents the most beautiful landscapes of 6 countries around the globe, while tracing scientist and researchers in the fields of wildlife and nature conservation, and biodiversity.

The Whale Museum was asked to take part in this documentary, whereby the film crew accompanied the researchers during their field trips in Skjálfandi Bay. The team spent the entire day, taking footage throughout the trips and covering 6 hours of whale research, picture downloads and data entry plus a set of interviews. The documentary will be over 50 minutes long and broadcasted sometime in fall.
