The Blue Whale Show continues
In addition to regular encounters with minke whales, white-beaked dolphins and harbour porpoises, there was also a small group of killer whales that popped in for a day. The main attraction, however, was the blue and humpback whales.
Our dedicated research team spends time out on the water documenting the species on a daily basis. On the 16th and 20th of June they managed to photograph a blue whale that has previously been spotted in the bay on July 2006. The blue whale, marked as BM07, can be easily recognized by his missing dorsal fin.
